Does anyone know if they have movement on the power steering pulley? I just started to hear a loud warble or or knocking sound like something is loose. Only thing I could find on the top was the power steering pulley and shaft now have about a 1/4" to 1/2" of play meaning the shaft will go in and out of the pump about 1/4" I don't remember having any end play when installing it.

It's a simple reman'd unit it looks like cardone so just replacing the whole thing is not a big deal. I see rebuild kits but what tools are involved?

Anyone know if the pulley bolt is just that a bolt? it does thread into the center of the shaft right?

1/4" seems like a lot to me. The pulley has the nut but it may require a puller to remove.

Ok, when the new one shows up I guess I will figure it out. I have a puller somewhere laying around if not neighbor does. Seemed like a lot to me the shaft can scoot in and out what feels like almost a 1/2" first time hearing some serious warble, at idle it's the worst almost like some thing hitting a large glass bottle and hearing the echo from inside. wired....If that aint it then oh well for $40 i got a fresh pump lol
