I have for sale what I think is a 71 six pack dual point distributor 3435578 with the vacumn advance 3438539. There may be other applications that I'm not aware of. PM me here for more info or pics. Asking $750USD. Buyer pays shipping. I don't want to seperate these items. Also included are the NOS points and condensers as pictured.

That vacuum advance is for single point distributors only. See the tab on the flange? (Arrow pointing to it) That locates the cap. A dual point cap doesn’t have that notch. A dual point cap is located by the base of the clip. Last photo.

I agree, they have one for the 440-6 really expensive. Has a arm that goes onto a pin. You have a better picture from the top showing the advance plate?

I will post a picture from the top, that is the same advance that I had on my six pack, these were backups in case. I wish I still had it to have a look, anyhow I'll get that pic.

Here are some photos

1) see the pin that the vac advance mounts to
2 & 3) dual pt vac advance no tab on the flange, hole in arm for a pin to go through on the breaker
plate.
4 & 5). How the dual point cap mounts to distributor

Yep I see that now, my vacumn advance has a pin on the arm whereas the distributor also has a pin. So the vacumn advance I have seems to be for another application. Any idea what, I could not find that number in my 70 parts book.

Most B/RB engines in the B bodies with the HP engines think 69-72. Stupid system IMO. The unit is listed as a assembly the metal and plastic part so you wont find the number stamped on it in any book. The one you need has a weird arm that does a 90 degree bend at the end, one year only, hard to find and around $400 if you can find it. Only one year also 1971. Hope it helps.

Yes that helps, when I get home I will adjust my ad to clarify, maybe split up the two pieces.

The 1970 383 2 bbl had that advance also. IDK about non HP 440’s.

I have reposted the distributor, I have removed the vacumn advance and points and adjusted the price accordingly. I will relist the advance and points in seperate ads.
