This is what the 63 Max Wedge Clone started out as. I found it here in the Mojave Desert. A 63 Polara, 318 car. Perfect body. Colors will be: Black exterior with a Red interior.

Whats the plan for it??

And you east guys get ALL the great mopar shows, does that make us sorta even?lol!!

Geeeez she looks straight. Good luck on the project!

What a great start to a great project! BTW, Where do all you guys find these hood scoops?
It seems everybody with an early B has one except me.

5.7 hemi,
My "440 built" Max Wedge for the car.
This is Mr. Dale Reed from "Dale's Place" Baldwin Park, CA. He builds some of the baddest "OLD School" 426 Hemis and 62 thru 65 Max Wedge engines out there. (Google him check him out on YOU TUBE) My plan is to get it done and drive it as a "street-car" to show the young-bloods of today what Detroit made 50 years ago. I'm trying to get it to look like a well restored Max Wedge clone. I bought a rear-end from a 63 plym Max Wedge car (might have made a mistake, perhaps should have put in a late model 8 3/4"). Exterior is going Black with a Red interior from "Just Dashes" here in Los Angeles. Engine pic included, Dale Reed built Max Wedge from a 440. Heavily massaged 452 heads, TTI headers, Race prepped 1965 727 Trans. Hoping it will run High 12's. I'm debating a mild tub in the rear to get those times. F-70-15s Redline in front and G-70-15 redlines in rear I hope.

rrowdy,
I got the hood scoop from a guy in Indiana. He goes by the name of "the TYNMAN". It took him almost 1 year to send it to me. It's like the factory did in 62-63 era.

Thank's Super-bee,

When I saw it I thought it was from the "Tynman" I've done a little research on him with some mixed reviews, but aside from the cost and the wait his work is second to none.

Having the dimensions, I'm thinking that I'll get some 3003 and try to roll my own.

As for as your project, I can't wait to see the progress on it, having straight sheetmetal
sure gives you a great headstart. My Fury was a LA built Lancaster car and aside from a few bubbles in the lower rear qtrs, it was straight too.

Good Luck!

rrowdy;
I was looking for a Plymouth, actually really wanted one but couldnt find one. The Fury is a very beautiful car and in my opinion a very "underratted" collector car. The Furys were top of the food chain in the early 60s. I wanted to do a Max Wedge 64 Fury. Might find one "all done up" some day. I still look...

That is a super straight 63! I wish mine was that clean! I have the Ramcharger hood scoop, I am just not sure of the factory location. Is there a diagram anywhere with the correct mounting location or is it just kinda done by eye?
