Been off the last couple weeks and needed a break from the GTX and with Stu posting his hotrod i got the itch plus i was getting tired of tripping over some of the excess parts so here we are.Not to sure yet what to call it a rat or a hot rod

27 model T closed cab cowl, scratch built from there back.Leftover 48 IH frame from a past project.8.75 rear i swapped out of that 64 Belvedere i had.Front axle is 41 Willys that came from a homeade trailer.Steering gear will be the extra one i had for my 37 chevy gasser. Was going to go mopar for power but i need to start useing up some of the chebby stuff. Nice, how about a hot rod GH truck...View attachment 99167
I personally wouldn't have an issue at all, with "cutting it up" to make a real hot-rod, leave it looken' like it is, but lower, except the frame, suspension, engine/drivetrain, fuel system, radiator, wheels & tires etc...

Throw the chebbie stuff in the ditch. Use a slant six at the very least.

Pretty tough to match the fun/dollar ratio of a chevy 350 block build.

I was thinkin it's pretty tough to match the boring been there done that in everything under the sun and God's heavens/dollar ratio of a chebbie POS. But that's just me. Any idiot dolt can do something a bajillion other people before him have done.

thats got alot of potential :)

do with it as you please, since it is your project...

Yeah, but if the parts are already there you might as well use them. Specially if its gonna be a rat rod. The idea would be to do it on the cheap. Whatever way you go im sure it will be a cool ride. GL with it.

I didnt want to and had a slant all lined up but i looked at the back wall of my shop and saw the row of sbc waiting for another chance along with 3 TH 350s.I need to start useing some of this stuff up.

Pretty Neat Jay.Gotta kick out of the Gasser/Rod stuff you have when I went over there. Have fun!

Man I love and its funny I found a 27 truck just the other day...now you got me thinking even harder on it.

That will make a sweet ride! Keep us posted on it.

Sonny says "dance with the girl you brought" ....use the up the stuff on the shelf, it's not like your putting a 350 in a '62 savoy...... Your putting it into a rat. Wish I had the Time talent & aptitude to do what you do...I am just a "bolt on guy". I can see you are an idea man.

LOL... The Good Humor Man...funny old movie
