i am planning on making 800 to 1000 horsepower with my 540ci and I am debating on whether to run a 727 or getting a ultra bell and running a 2 speed power glide ??? The car is going to be a prostreet/race car. Any recommendations on who is reasonable but good trans builders

If the car is over 2500lbs, or will be driven in traffic and on congested streets - stick with a 3spd auto. Under 2500lbs, and a race car that you might take to a local cruise twice a summer with little idling and traffic, go PG. The TF will cost less than a full race PG but you need that 3rd gear with a heavier car.

My build; 900hp, 3350lbs, been 1.240,9.02.
1965 push button 727, stock input shaft, output shaft, planet carriers, servos. Even the stock sprag for 250 passes. Never hurt it but did upgrade to the A&A unit. Aluminum drum, 5 frictions, lightened sun shell, 3.8 lever. The only part that it beats on is the front planet carrier. I should probably upgrade it to steel. It will go about 250 passes before it starts to look bad. Easy to tell, doesn't slide onto the output shaft easily. A glide will be slower but more forgiving on poor prep. Is this going to be turbo, blown, nitrous? Gets costly to go past 700hp N/A, even tougher past 800hp
