Hey all, I'm glad I found this board. I'm the new owner of a very special car, a B5 Blue 1970 Charger. It's got a 580" wedge motor, an A833 four sped pistol grip manual, a Dana 60 with 4.10s, fully built drivetrain, fuel, cooling, and brake systems.

It was my dads car, he bought it before I was born in 1983 for $300 and an intake manifold, it was originally a 318 Charger 500. He's had it for over thirty years, and he fully restored it in the early 90s with new chrome trim, repaint, fully restored the interior, and built the 572 which just got refreshed this year. The car has been garage kept ever since being restored and is in phenomenal condition, with all original sheet metal except the trunk floor and drivers fender.

After many decades of hot rodding, my dad is ready to get out of the fast car game and decided to sell his pride and joy to me! I never thought I'd own a car like this. Its always been my favorite muscle car. I've worked on it with him, raced against it in my own cars, ridden in it, been to countless car shows, been with him while he beats up mustangs......this car is basically responsible for me being a car guy. I remember riding in this car when I was 3. I'm supremely fortunate and grateful to have such a special car with so much history in my family.

Anyway, this is getting long winded, but I have just a few things planned for it. I'm going to address a few electrical issues such as a new tic toc tach to replace the clock, dash voltage regulator, a direct charging wire from the alternator to the battery, and possibly some new LED headlights. I'm also going to update the front suspension, not pro touring but just a little more control and stability than stock. I've already gotten a few tips from this board.

I look forward to learning more from you all! I've had quite a few modern mopars, but this is my first old muscle car.

Welcome aboard from SW CT! Love that car as well as the story! Send us some more pics inside & out.

Thanks! I put on Basset Lightweght Race Wheels and the Nitto 555R drag radials to replace the Cragars and BFG TA's, besides that I don't want to change the appearance at all.

I love the story! I bought my car for me and my dad after he had to sell his several years ago. Great father son times and memories, as you know! Nothing beats it!

Welcome from Texas. That is a nice car, and don't worry about the long winded thing it's just the excitement of the MOPAR experience. You have to own one to know.

Welcome to FBBO from the Keystone State. Super nice 70 Charger. Never apologize for being long winded, Some people have pictures and a very short story, some like yourself have pictures and long stories, a double whammy. Bring on more pictures and more stories.
