My daughter came home today and told me and her mother that she was accepted into AMDA which is a school for music and drama. Its not Ivy league but its what she wants to do. She had lots of other offers at many other schools. She likes to act and her artwork is on point. I will show you guys some chalk drawings she did in the past 2 days. Saturday she is entering a contest. These were sort of practice but I was in awe. She was also asked to do a portrait for a lady who already paid someone else to do one and they messed it up horribly. Pretty sure she will be paid for that.

Well I think she gets the art talent from my mother. Whom she only met a few times before my mother passed. I wish she could have seen the talent my daughter has.

I forgot to mention. She was on a 1 hour time limit for each chalk drawing she did. She said she could have done more detail with a little more time.. She does some fantastic stuff. Some of it I don't get like video game characters and whatnot. But I can't wait to see if she wins that contest. Her art teacher suggested she enter the contest.

Here are some more Some of these are digital. I had to rip them from her Instagram account. lol

First black and white is Toby McGwire the Asian guy is from that Squid Game show. The others are from a game called farcry 5 And the rough looking dude next to the guy with yellow glasses is from a game called Red Dead Redemption. And the black guy is from a game called Detroit becoming human.

I could spend a week and it would still look like crap.

Here is a picture of the characters from that game Farcry 5 from the web not hers.

Awesome, and I'm an artist. If she ever wants advice let me know. Tell her to keep things loose. Photorealism is impressive but looseness is cooler.

She does...... She does.

That is so cool. I wish I had a speck of that kind of talent! Congrats to your daughter!

Awesome work. I can’t even paint that good using Paint By Numbers.

How old is your daughter?

I had to read that twice...:)
I dig now and I concur, but I'll be more blatant:
I could spend a week trying to do anything artistic and it would still look like crap, yet I still have always
admired those blessed with such talents - so I did the next best thing for me, which was getting into
what is now considered "old school" mechanical and architectural drafting.
Classically trained by the best as things went along...became pretty darn good at it, too.
Then something called CAD came along...

Back to the subject at hand:
@BeepBeepRR , your daughter has some pretty amazing talents there and I wish her all the best!
