Would some one please tell me the proper Power steering fluid that i need to put in my 66 hemi Satellite??Should the color be clear, red?? Also should the fluid be high enough to touch with me finger????? Help!! I don't see no full line, and no stick on the cap?

I think the ps fluid I've used is red but I don't have a hemi satellite. That might require some NOS fluid. Just kidding. As far as the fill level, I don't have a stick or mark either. I've just filled it up to about a half inch up into the bottom of the "neck".

Manual sez on the Federal pump (which sounds like what you have) fill level is right at the bottom of the fill tube. ATF works fine, though there are PS fluids available. One of the best is GM Cold Climate fluid, have stopped a lot of cold operation problems with it.

As per the Factory Service manual.
"Powering steering fuild # 2084329 or equiavalent. Caution: Do not use Automatic Transmission Fuild."
I've used ATF to top off when I had to but use Power steering fuild which is clear, not red.
OP, any good P/S fuild should be fine.

All the Power steering fuild that I've seen for the last 40 years is clear. ATF is red. P/S fuild is not the same as ATF.
