Hi All,

Hoping you can help with some identification of some pulleys and brackets that I got in a box of parts along with some rods/pistons. The box came with a 440 block that I purchased at the same time, so I'm hoping they go together. The block that came with the parts is a 440 block from '74-'75 I believe, but I would love to hear any information that you all have/know about that block.

I think I've identified the crank pulley to be from a '72-'78 440 w/AC, and the water pump pulley to a '73 440 w/ AC and w/ California emissions (whatever that has to do with the pulleys...).

I have a general idea about the brackets (e.g. throttle cable bracket, alternator bracket, P/S bracket), but I have NO IDEA how they mount to the block and what I'm missing (I know I'm missing some stuff...)

Any help/guidance is appreciated - Thanks!

The black bracket is an alternator bracket for a 68 or earlier big block without a/c.

The water pump pulley looks like a dual groove, so probably drove a smog pump as well, hence the California emissions...

What you are missing depends on how you are setting it up? Factory style with or without a/c?

I'm planning on setting it up without A/C or a smog pump - just alternator, water pump, and P/S pump. I think I'll be needing some new pulleys and brackets...

Yep you will need those for sure. Should be pretty easy to find it all though.
