I recently had my heads milled down and was wondering how to check to make sure my push rods aren't too long?
This info may not be needed but
500ci, aluminum heads and 1.6 adjustable rockers and a solid cam w/.671 lift Lash is .018 and .020 hot
I know I can get a adjustable push rod length check tool but before I do that I would like to know if there is a way to tell if mine are to long to start with. I bought the push rods last year before I decided to mill the heads and didn't think about the push rods. I guess we live and learn.

get an adjustable pushrod checker and u want to have the lifter on the base of the cam. adjust the rocker arm till only one thread is exposed on the bottom of the adjuster then adjust the pushrod till there is zero lash . measure the length of the pushrod, this is the length u need. if u install ur pushrods u have now u should not have more than 3 threads exposed on the bottom of the rocker when u get correct lash adjustment.
