Well I got my motor running with the new intake on it. It was running like crap. It was popping on the pass. side. I pulled the valve cover to check things out and found that I bent a push rod. It also screwed up the rocker arm adjuster. I checked all the others and they were fine but I may just get a new set so I am looking for some recommendation of push rods.

only ones to get are MANTON or TREND.
what size do you need. i got like 5 sets. all new

Not sure on length and size. It was getting late and had to do other stuff but I will get back at it tomorrow and let you know. I do know they have cup ends. I think they are Hughes Engine push rods.

I have a set moly cupped rods that have a "working length" of 9.375" if that length works for you. They can be had pretty cheap :)

I just got my set from Manton the other day. Great pushrods and nice people to deal with. It only took about 3 days. Mine were 9-7/16 and they are perfect. Ron

Smith Brothers Push Rods in Oregon, www.pushrods.net, you will need to know what the working length is, you should have no more than 3 full threads exposed under the adjustable rockers on the side that goes into the cups on the push rods.

We're running Mantons.

Take an Intake and a Exhaust push rod (that's not bent) and send it to Manton and tell them to make you 8 of each. Talk to them about what they recoment for thickness of the push rod. You'll need to know what your spring pressure is for them to figure out.

I contacted the guy who built my motor to tell him what happened. He is sending me a new set of pushrods. He put 5/16 push rods in it to start with.:shruggy::thatswck: He is sending me 3/8's this time. He gets them from a place called The Push Rod Factory. If I have issues with these them I will fork out the cash and get some Mantons but for now I am going with the free ones.

Thanks Guys for the recommendations.
