Is there a kit to fix trans cable going into auto trans housing? Silicone does not work

I believe some members here have had good luck with heat shrink tubing.

Pull the able loose at the trans end, clean it throughly & shrink the tubing over the cable including the steel area this exposed beyond the adjuster....

Readjust the shift cable when you reassembled it..
