OK so after months of attempted calls and emails to Imperial Services I've given up on having them update my pushbutton console. Unless somebody here knows the secret handshake/subject line/ringtone to use in order to contact them that is!

That said does anybody here know how they, or anybody, modified the pushbutton console to operate the newer (66 and newer if I remember right) front pump 727? (if you do pictures would be much appreciated)

I too suffered from rejection when attempting to contact them regarding this conversion. If I had feelings they would have been hurt.

Anyway ... I decided to just keep the original push button tranny and say a prayer that I can find inexpensive cables if I ever need them.

Sorry to hear that, but I have to admit I'm glad it's not just me! I would have just left well enough alone but I'm really hoping to install a Gear Vendors overdrive and they only bolt up to the newer 727's.

I was able to get one from them. But it took a while to get ahold of him and a while to get the cable. He claimed that he was on vacation during the time I tried to contact. You could try again in a week or two and see if you have better luck.

Here's a picture of one that I had that was redone by Imperial. Ended up that I didn't use it and I sold it to someone on this forum. Unfortunately this is the best picture I have of it.

Thanks for the pic Joe, I remember when you sold that....just missed it by about a day. That will teach me to go without checking the boards!!

I will NEVER give up my PB's:spam1::sad4:

While we're here, which is the correct bulb for inside the PB housing? Is it the round bulb or the elongated bulb? Have mine apart and need to change the light bulb:cat:

Wow those things seem harder to come by lately, I better order a spare before they decide to stop making them.

Hope it works out for ya!
