i am new to b body cars and just got a 1964 dodge 440 with a poly 318 and a push button trans what to i need to do to put in a 383 and get ride of that dam push button shift and install a floor shifter [ b&m]

Aw, come on. Pushbuttons are part of the "Wow" factor.

Don't toss that cable shift trans. People are always looking for them.
 
I like my pushbuttons so much I moved 'em over because I am a "righty":grin:

The Ramchargers liked theirs so much that they mounted their push button shifter between the driver's legs in their first funny car. If I didn't have push buttons, I'd swap in a 4-speed. But the push buttons are just too cool to do that. But we know you don't mean any disrespect to us type writer guys, Mr. T! Welcome to the '64 club, by the way.
