I have my upper control arms off and new stock bushings to put in that I received with the classic industries front end rebuild kit. I'm not road racing or drag racing, it's just a fun car to drive once in awhile.

Is there any reason to upgrade to QA1's? What's the pros/cons of upgrading?

Do you have factory lowers? From what I understand the uppers are basically just along for the ride, the LCA's take most of the beating. Nice thing about the uppers is the adjustability, but if I was going to do any I'd do the lowers first. My .02 cents

I believe the uppers are made to improve the geometry. From what I understand they lean the spindle back a tad. It's worth looking into.

Uppers improve positive caster dramatically. I installed just the uppers for about 4 months before doing the rest of the QA1 front end. It greatly improved the alignment.

These cars were built with a zero caster alignment spec, getting anything in the positive department is a plus. 2-3 degrees is all you really need.

That being said, I did have problems with the alignment since the lower bushings were basically non exsitant(sp?). Doing the lowers and sway bar and t bars made the car ride ALOT better.

Many of the tubular arms that aftermarket supply are redesigned to improve the geometry of the vehicle as many of the vehicle can suffer from lack of camber. So the tubular arms are designed to correct that. This can also be done by installing the moog off set "problem solver" upper control arm bushing in your stock arms. Me personally I would go with the tubular arms as the corrections are with in the arms and not the bushings ( as with the moogs they offset the sleeve in the bushing). We offer both fixed and adjustable tubular arms to suite various customers needs. Secondly in my opinions if you add a stiffening plate to the bottom of your stock lower control arm you will be on par with a tubular lower control arm in performance.

Thanks
James

TUBMOPB? Is that the one I would be looking for?

Yes that would be the fixed tubular uppers. Don't forget about the members discount to.

Thanks
