So, due to an accident of not-my-own-making, I've had to find new driver-side quarter window glass for my 67 Satellite 2dr hardtop. I first tried AMD, but their glass has the wrong front-to-back curvature and will only work as a hole-filler, not as a working window. I've now ordered a window from Auto City Classic. I hope that works...but my spirits are pretty low on the chances.

Are there any other places to get quarter glass for it?

Has anybody had success with specific sellers?

How about a good used OEM. Where could I find that if need be?

The car in question.

AMD supplied the rear quarter glass on my 64. Of course 64 glass is flat not curved. It installed perfectly.

I contacted Desert Valley Auto for a passenger side window glass ( yep, i broke it) you should be able to get one from them. Of course, it will be a salvage part, condition could be an issue. Btw, the glass i did order was in great shape

I would have been asking for an OE glass in the WTB section here first...

I just didn't think of it until after I'd already gotten the AMD one. It took all of my willpower to show no anger or frustration when someone else broke it.

Finding very nice used glass is always a crap shoot. It has never worked out for me. But then again I might be a bit on the eccentric **** side.

A quarter glass might not be beat to hell, maybe a good polishing could revive it

Keep us updated on the Auto City glass. I am looking at ordering a complete set from them.

Seems like most of the time they all have scratches from misalignment worn guides etc.

I bought some abrasive discs and Cerium oxide to polish the scratches out of my originals.
I put scratches in them years ago with sandpaper before my brain was working right!

Ceramabrite & yellow pads

Same stuff you clean your glass top stove with.

I still have all the glass in the 67 belvedere I am parting out except the windshield. I can look this weekend on the condition.

The Auto City Classic glass is about as curved in about the same places as the AMD glass, so I'll be sending that back. Here are some pictures that I sent to AMD to show the difference in curvature. These are from the front edge of the window with AMD on the left.

These are from 6" back from the front of the window with AMD on the left again:

The car I have is all original. Even the plastic behind the door panels was in place. Just very rusty.
