My R/T has quarter panels from Yearone that were installed in 1992 and I am in the process repainting. Does anyone know if the line is present the whole length of the panel? Mine starts near the reflector and disappears just before the wheel well and the reappears just after the wheel well to the indentations (it does not have the panel scoops). Is this correct or should it be a continuous line?.
Thanks

He's got a Coronet....but that Charger would make a good project for someone ;)

My '68 has the line starting right past the scoop indents and runs all the way to just before the tail. There line is still above the wheel well but is not as pronounced.

AMD Skin looks to be just like mine...

Thanks, mine disappears completely above the wells. The passenger side is stripped to metal now the driver side needs done. It is hard to tell from this picture of it.

No sweat. I see exactly what you mean.. Yeah, that line sure is a lot more soft on yours. I suppose a couple layers of high build primer and someone blocking right over the top of the line could really blend it in. It's a real shallow pitched body line to begin with

He wants to correct all the problems. So, the deck lid, passenger side door and hood (if I can find a decent used one) will be replaced. I am hoping the drivers side door does not have a ton of plastic in it like the passenger side. The quarters need fine tuning and repainted. Any good leads on drip rails and the trim pieces that go up along the front window and vent windows? Someone must have used can opener or a beaver on them to take them off last.
Thanks

IMG_0426.jpgWhile the bodyguy is at it have him correct the wheel lips.
They are much too wide in that picture you posted

LOL....a beaver. Looking at that a couple different ways, could be quite interesting. Guessing you already know, but when shopping for the drip rail trim, the vinyl top cars have different drip rail trim and A pillar trim than the non vinyl cars...just a bit wider w/vinyl. Just throwing it out there.

Try to restore the old if you can or search for some OEM trim. That AMD after market stuff is made to fit either (width is in-between the factory vinyl/non vinyl), but from what I heard, the quality is not there and is not as rigid.

Good luck

The wheel well lips are trimmed and I put the moldings on last spring. The picture is from the seller in Wisconsin and is on old picture. RJS, your lines look sharp enough to cut if you brush against them. The trim piece that runs between the vent window and front window may be too far gone to repair, but thanks for the tip on the different widths.
