question 68 coronet rt grill

Hi,

was the 1968 Coronet R/T grill completely blacked out or just the space between the inner headlights? I`ve seen alot pictures with complete
black out grilles and almost as many with only the part between the headlights blacked out.

thx for your answer. But why are there so many with only the inner part blacked out? they couldnt be all bad made clones or could they:no:
