Question about door alignment

was looking at a car today and it had an alignment issue with the passenger door. The bottom was flush, but the top had a gap. How hard is this to adjust and how do you adjust it?

Shouldn't be hard at all. That is likely in need of the front bolts loosened and the door tilted there. That will get it straight. Then adjust the latch / striker accordingly.

Thanksfor the quick reply. I was just coming here to add that it was a 67 GTX, I figured that might be useful

I just finished playing with my 66 Coronet doors. Recognized the shape and striker. Seats indicated GTX.

One problem that may arise would be alignment with the fender. When you adjust the tilt of the door, it may be slightly off with the fender. This can be minor, but it can also be a bit of work if you start moving everything. Because of course.........next is the hood gap! And as you adjust the door inward the top of the window will move in as well. It may be OK, but if it gets tight, you'll need to remove the inner panel and adjust the window tilt. It may sound like a lot, but it really isn't that bad to do.
