Question from germany about torsion bars

Hello from germany,
at the moment iam restoring my complete front suspension.
Boxing and welding the k-member,new stearing gear from stear&gear,all bushings,all ball joints,FirmFell upper control arms and sway bar,...

My Question: The torsion bars are stamped left and right side.There is also a slit on the hexagon.Is this slit a position mark?
On the left side the slit position was vertical and on the passenger side diagonal.

The bars twist, it does not does not matter what direction the slot us facing, but left and right is crucial.
