Questions about 70 RR and Satelitte

Bought a 1970 roadrunner back in April and want to know if the car is a satellite sport or actual roadrunner. Fendertag says its a roadrunner, title says it is too, vin matches up but I was told that the RR back windows only roll down and never came with popout windows, which would lead me to believe that this car may be a satellite. Can anyone tell me the differences in the 2? I know the RR came w a tic toc dash and satellite didn't, and the taillights are different but I need to know the other differences. thanks all.

its a 2 door hardtop according to the vin and fender tag but the the back side windows popout.

Could have been switched. Any evidence of that?

i'm not sure of any switching but it raises a ? mark. How can i investigate? the vin and fender tag all match up but how do i know the person i bought it from didn't change that? It was so easy to do back in the day. it is a RM21 vin.

not just back in the day, even yesterday. the dash and tag could have came from another car very easily

Have you checked the Radiator support and the Trunk lip for numbers..??
I would think this would resolve any questions you may have..:eusa_think:

To member 70RR...the trunk has been changed to fiberglass. and I'll check the radiator support. thanks for the input.

The VIN in the trunk area is stamped on the body, usually hidden by the glued on weatherstrip. It isn't on the deck lid. My RM21 has the pop-out windows, just like it should. If your VIN is RM21, yours should too.

thanks greg70. any where abouts for parts? I need a trunk, back seats, heater control, snap clips for back windows, and front and back chrome bumpers.

Bumpers are reproduced by AMD,back seat can come from any 68-70 B body and pretty easy to find as is a heater control.clips for the back glass are also reproduced.Trunk lid might be a little hard to find one that isnt all rot in the back edge.

RM = roadrunner, 21 = coupe (popout windows), so,you're good. Thats one nice roadrunner you have there. Btw, what'd she do, spit that Pontiac ramair setup out? :clap:
