Heading out to Famoso Friday morning.
Qualifying on Sat and Elims on Sunday
Nov 17-18
Adjusted altitude is forecasted to be in the 250 to 1000 foot range.
Hang on to your hats....
Put the 120lbs back into my trunk area.
Going back to my old setup where I ran consistent 10.17 ETs.
If things go good I would hope for a 10.09 slip.
If I get that 10.09 time slip I will raise the price of my car by $500...LOL
I will report in on Monday.

Good luck, white stuff coming down in Ohio. Hate you! Lol

Well.

SAT PERSONAL BEST on 60", 330", 660",1000'....but...headwind slowed me down in.hi.gear...lost 2.5 MPH. That run was on track.for 10.13 (or so) but headwind slowed me to 10.172 @ 129.55
I normally.run 131.5x on.10.17 run

Report from Sat and Sunday Nov 17 & 18.
PB 60' of 1.398 and PB of 660 (1/8 mile) of 6.420 BUT headwind slowed my MPH down to 129.93 MPH.
I did have one run of 131.24 MPH but the incremental ET's were not my PB.
Car ran strong but....I did NOT get a 10.099 time slip. Best ET was only 10.172 which was slower than my PB of 10.158.
The adjusted altitude was in the 1800 and 1900' range, not down in the 500-750' range I had hoped for.
HERE ARE A COUPLE PICTURES THAT THE TRACK PHOTOGRAPHER TOOK at this race.
This picture was taken on my Qualifying Run for the D/GAS class which is heads up index racing with 10.60 Index. I put my restrictor plate in to slow it down to 10.60 for this class.
PS: In the last picture you can check out the crazy POSITIVE CAMBER on the front tires when the car is at maximum height on the launch. Never knew it actually looked like this.....or...maybe it was an optical illusion from the photographer's lens on the camera...??

Well...get this....next race at Famoso (Bakersfield, CA) is Dec 1st and 2nd. It will be cold...probably in the high 50's early morning runs, then it will warm up to low 60's around 11am and then probably around 65 in the late afternoon.

sounds like its time to hit 10.08 good luck

Lookin' good Mike! Keep playin' with it you'll get it in the 9's no doubt.

Usually when you take a picture of a picture, it distorts like that.
