Radar Detector Freaks Out

I've have two Passport 7500s. The first I had to retire because it kept giving false alarms on the K band. I replaced it with another 7500 several months ago, and weekend before last it started generating false alarms on Ka, K, and X band!

This went on for a couple of days, and I was about to junk it with the other 7500 when poof! It started working fine again. All of this happened during that big solar flare that was supposed to wreak havoc with power grids and cell phones, but didn't, but it sure seemed to seriously mess up my detector!

SOLAR FLARES EMIT GAMMA RAYS.....now you have a gamma ray detector...no....2 gamma ray detectors! high ticket items.

I didn't see any ill effects from the recent solar flares... Maybe I'm sheltered or just lucky...
