the factory radio in my 67 R/T is in the dash. I dont want to cut the dash up for a new radio. Im thinking of putting the radio in the glove box.. Does anyone have pics or ideas of cool places to put aftermarket radios?

2 words.....SECRET AUDIO......look into it. i have one in my 70 RR .you keep the nostalgic look of your factory radio.....and thins thing mounts anyplace you want....trunk.....under a seat. the controller is just a 3 x 5 inch on a midi cable. you can get a cd changer.. hook an IPOD to it take tunes from your phone......load tunes on a flash drive....put power amps to it. ill post pix of my dash so you can see.

the controller you see can be mounted anywhere. this system comes with a remote control, so you can even hide the controller out of sight.

i just bought the radio main brain...no cd changer or amps and i paid $279.00 plus a $40.00 pair of speakers and this thing CRAAAAAAAAAAANKS ! EBAY has them, thats where i got mine.

X2 for secret audio. Kept the original AM in dash and mounted all of the secret audio pieces under the drivers seat and use the rf remote to control it, can't tell it's there. Replaced the front 4x10 and added 2 new 6x9s in the rear package tray and it sounds real nice.

I put mine in the glove box with a remote control. Paid $80 at best buy. cd player with mp3 hookup. Remote works right through the glove box door when shut. I looked into secret radio but it was not cheap. Kept my factory radio intact but not hooked up.

Check into marine radios as well. They can be mounted under the seat, trunk etc. and also feature remote control.

Mine had an aftermarket unit mounted to the bottom of the dash..Hated that way it looked so I picked up a new unit that also has a remote control. I plan to mount it under the seat and use the remote to change pre-sets and volume, on/off.

Got it new for under $50 off ebay and sold the old one for $30!!
