I need to replace the radio (aftermarket) in my '70 Roadrunner. Does anybody have any suggestions on what type of radio I should put in? I would like something with an aux input so I can plug in my IPod.
Thanks

I purchased a new in the box Kenwood radio of ebay for $100.00 with free shipping and am very happy with it.
The radio features am/fm-CD-remote control-USB port for ipod-aux port, (I use this feature for my zune), and is bluetooth and siruis radio ready. Plus, the face is removable for security.

The radio body is much smaller then the original radio and should fit your dash nicely. I mounted mine in the glovebox and still have plenty of room for car papers, a couple of CD's, sunglass, etc.

thanks for the responses. problem is, the aftermarket stereo is in the dash already, not the glove-box. I want something that will fit into the original plate in the dash.

There are several companies that offer to convert an existing original AM radio to AM/FM using the original dials to control it and they have an umbilical cord out the back that that drops down for an input for an ipod etc. They also have jacks for 4 speakers and you can add an aux. amp that can be hidden under the seat or in the trunk.
