A 1970 Plymouth Hemi Roadrunner with a 383 CI 425 HP engine will be on the auction block in Tulsa, OK this coming June. The Leake Auction will be handling this rare car. Must be an engine option that somehow slipped by the salesmen at Chrysler Corp dealers as I've never heard of a 425 HP 383 hemi. :)

There's no link to it... Logic would be... Maybe it's a replacement 383ci 335hp converted to a 425hp engine, were there "use to be a 426ci Hemi originally", if it's even a Hemi RR at all... Lots of people use "Hemi" in Mopars advert.'s keywords to get more people to look at the listing, the old bait & switch crap.... Or it could be a destroked 426ci Hemi with a 3.375" crank & stock 4.25" bore also... who knows why someone would do that

I went to there site and found this one, if this is the one your talking about? Cant seem to find much info other then whats on this link, if its the right one.. If not, it is a nice one lol..

My guess is it's a fat fingered typo.

What really makes it rare is 'posi'. You don't see a lot of RR's with that. ;)

The only thing i see with this one i found there hemi is maybe a 18 spline transmission..

Mr Budnicks may indeed be on the right track, however...my guess is just know-nothing auction weasels. They also have a 69 GTO listed that sure looks like a 71 Chevelle to me as well as a Thunderbird that bears a striking resemblance to a Triumph TR6 I once owned...

Sounds like a RR with a slightly massaged 383 in it. As long as the price is in line with the condition of the car then no harm done.

The yellow one above looks like the one in the ad in Hemmings Muscle cars.

I looked at that add and didn't see anything about hemi or rare. My eyes are not what they used to be. Nice car by the way.
