Ray Dolby won't be down for breakfast

Well, he helped my music collection...all those hundreds of cassettes decades ago. RIP.

RIP Ray....

I remember the first time I heard Dolby Surround in a properly equipped theater. He changed the way we hear just about everything that is recorded or broadcast. A real audio pioneer. RIP Mr Dolby.

That little "D" button was magic in taking the hiss out of tapes in the car. Ray was a saint for that.

Save all that stuff. When we go back to analog because everyone realizes it sounds better, you'll need it.
God speed Ray!!

I always recorded with, but played back without.

It let you record "hotter", but not get a "muddy" sound during playback.

You mean it wasn't Thomas Dolby?

...all my tubes and wires...all my careful notes...

First Bose and now Dolby.

RIP Mr. Dolby.
