RIP Ray
a great man & good person
From Southern Mississippi, Native of Georgia
didn't say what he died from/of...
Ray Guy, died Nov 3rd at age 72
1973 1st rd #23 draft pick of Oakland Raiders
he changed the game of football & for punting
he was the 3rd string emergency QB too
2014 NFL HOF inductee, presented by his old coach John Madden
(RIP John too, we're losing a lot of the old guard/icons of my youth)
he was a down to earth guy, tall thin man
I had met him a couple of times
I went to a 'kicking camp' he put on in Antioch
when I was like 15-ish
he's only 9 years older than me, he seemed a lot older
Nov. 3rd a sad day for me...
