Reading the stealth stereo install thread by HT413 reminded me of this hilarious video from a couple of Australians who have a cult following on YouTube. This should be treated more as humour, but does have some good tips and practical lessons in DIY....I think

Warning, contains a non-MoPar vehicle.....and some Australians

These guys are very funny.

"...it's the frequency that makes you vomit and poo uncontrollably." LOL

Hadn't seen this one...excellent.:headbang:

I was ROTFLMFAO the first few times I watched this....now I just chuckle hard

entertaining kind of anyway

probably not something I'm going to ever do thou...

interesting none the less...

Funny stuff, and this answered a question I had about using a CD drive in a car. Seriously, I had a similar idea long ago and thought it might make for a cheap stealth CD player. Does this mean I might be part Australian too!?

........ Does this mean I might be part Australian too!?

If you can relate to this.....then more than likely YES

you gotta love those two videos :headbang:

I love the idea of two guys pushing a car home and the first thing they focus on is putting a stereo in it. :)

As for their approach, I must say it reminds me of how tough kids have it these days. Back when I was their age, we accomplished the exact same thing by grabbing the boom box off the nightstand, putting it in the car, and turning it on. Then when you got home, you took the boom box out and returned it to your bedroom and theft wasn't an issue either. I guess you can't do that with an MP3 player and headphones... so much for progress. :)

The only problem, and they didn't encounter this because they never went driving, is that CD-ROMs do not have skip protection. Every tiny bump your CD will skip. Also if it bumps hard enough it can shift around inside the drive, and scuff the edges of the disc, possibly ruining it.

Was funny and worth the watch though.

I have watched all their videos, they are pretty funny. Some good tips but most of their work is bolt on upgrades and stuff for the ricer crowd. Though they are fun to watch.

Thanks for the replies guys...it was meant as a bit of humour with a few tips on DIY

I have watched quite a few of their videos, but this by far is tops. The presentation and filming/editing is awesome, and the content is presented far better than Top Gear IMO.

Good point, but I think most of us here would be trying to figure out how to get at least a 340 in it. I spent most of the 80's in my 68 RR with a big hole in the dash where a radio would normally go. But the car ran 13's on street tires.
