I am in the process or re-building the rear drums in a 69 charger. In a video I watched on-line there is a gasket that the guy used for the wheel cylnder
replacement (mine is part number W78734-BX). My wheel cylinders did not come with a gasket and when I spoke with Summit they could not find a gasket that went with this product. I found one at Detroit muscle. My question is, is this gasket not necessary? Any help would be appreciated.

No. It acts as a dust seal to keep dirt out of the brake drum.
You can make one your self. It is just thin closed cell foam. Used in packing materials. You probably have some already.
