OK. Did some steel manipulating today. Mine looks like the tab could go through the middle of the seat back loop and then be bent down flat to catch half the loop against the wheel well. Does this sound about right?They should stick straight up, the seat back loop goes over it and the tabs get bent over retaining the seat back. Use them otherwise the seat frame will rattle.
Gotcha. I got that sense and decided to leave it alone until I was dead certain the seat was going in and I'd be done with it.Yup, but be aware that more than a couple ‘bend-overs’ and that tab will break. Don’t ask how I know.
Fran has a good idea though. One of mine broke after 2 bendovers.I was trying to remember how I did mine when I replaced the carpet the year before last, but couldn't remember (The memory is the second thing to go as you know), but now that you mention it, it all comes back and that is exactly what I did, just bent it over. It was pretty soft and malleable as I recall.
