Rear seat removal

lOOOKING TO REMOVE REAR SEAT BOTTOM FROM 69 GTX DO I PUSH IT DOWN AND BACK???

I always went, back and down. Sometimes the brackets get bent or twisted which makes it a bit harder to get out.
On my 67 Fury I had to use my knee as a ram while pushing down on the seat to remove it.
