I want to thank every one who gave me advice on my seat removal, especially Rick, Rick and I had a very hard time getting the seat out, even to get it to move, to get it out, in order to run my rear speaker wires, but I had a even harder time putting it back in. At on point I even resorted to using my 2 ton hydraulic small jack to push seat back, no luck. I think I took it right out 4 times and then noticed I was shoving on the front of the floor brkt, as the paint was scrapped up on it. Got a brain storm on the way to my grandson's lacrosse game of using a 2x4 small piece of wood, to keep seat up to height of the front of brkt, until I got seat back over brkt, then pushed down with all my weight, while having someone pushing backwards at same time.
So I would suggest using a small piece of 2x4 wood the next time you maybe having trouble putting rear seat back in.
Again thanks to "for bbodies only" site for the useful help.

Jeez--how old are you?LOL. All I ever did in the late 60's was give it a push and shove. 64 now, and haven't tried it lately.

After the first time it's easier because you know what the bracket looks like, that you can't see until the seats out, and what's needed to remove it and install it. I will admit some I've removed were easy and other were a som-of-a-bitch to quote my wife

I am getting old and weak but the fellow helped me take it out said it should never have been as hard as it was to come out, but putting it back in the 2x4 pieces of wood helped keep the height to clear brkt. Anyway I got it.
