I am having some fitment issues with the rear trim panels ,(to start with) on my 65 Belvedere. These panels which were redone by SMS,(supposedly one of the top notch trim companies), and they fit poorly! They came with the car , in the box, done 9 years ago. Also, I recieved no clips, and would like a photo of the "Correct" clips to purchase. Second Note ,need some photos of the panels that are installed showing the front edge from the top, all the way down to the sill plate along the windlacing. I also need to see if there is a trim screw at the top near the front edge on the radius to pull it in.
Frustration has set in, and I need to go to the Braintrust!
Thank You!

Well Thunder I understand your frustration as mine were done in the same time frame. There is no good news that is coming so read at your own risk. Here is a picture of the panels in my wife's Satellite. You will notice the clip bulges as there is no padding behind the vinyl. And I will assume you also have the generic round holes for the clips? This isn't a deal breaker but will take some time to get the clips in the right location. And the second picture are the clips from another set of Satellite panels. I could go on with the other reproduction parts problems I have had but that would be another thread. Hope this helps.

Stalker...First of all, thanks for responding! The pictures are exactly what I needed to see. Unfortunately, I did notice immediately, the impressions of the clips pushing back against the vinyl on your panels. Were they done by SMS also? In my case, both rear panels were too long, and clip location holes were mis stamped , causing complete interference with the carpet hold down strip. Also the window crank pilot hole was off considerably. The only fix was to remove the panel, heat and release the vinyl, and trim off 3/8 of an inch, reattach covering and re drill the holes on the body to meet up with the clips. Lots of jagging around, for what should be a superior product from allegedly, one of the best in the buisiness! NOT! I am sorry to see the issues you are having as well.
One other important reason for the need of your pictures is the placement of the upper trim screws I see in the upper part of the panels. Would you have any additional pictures to show this?
Thank you for your help!

Yes the were done by SMS. That car is not close by, which is why it took so long to respond, but I do have plenty of parts cars here that might work. What additional pictures do you want? Let me know and I will take some.

Sorry about the delayed response..... Yes, If you could get a couple of pictures of the doors open,I would like to see the placement of the trim screws on the tops of the door panels. Love the color of your interior!!
Thank you in advance for your help!
