Rear window trim clips on a 69 Satellite.......

Hello I am working on a 69 Satellite Sport and am looking for some info on the placement of the rear window trim clips. The previous owner destroyed the lip where the window sits and where the clips screw to. I am looking to know the correct spacing and how far down in the lip to install the clips. Because there was bad work done on it in the past the is no holes or signs of holes to tell where the clips are suppost to go. Thanks for any help. Great web site.

I wont be able to get the measurements till Wed. cause I have to crawl through the back window to get an accurate measurement and the car is all covered up. Hopefully you can wait. Let me know if you still need them because I want to make accurate measurements. Thanks.

Well I said I would check out these clip positions and after a 10 year restoration on my own G.T.X. Mine are missing also. I had new quarters put on and they wiped them out. I am in the same boat your in. Sorry about this. I will try to call my brother in law who has a 68 charger. I think it might bre the same window. Sorry once again. Its been a while with my car.

The Charger rear glass is totally different....but the spacing of the clips isn't real important but how deep they are in the channel needs to be good. I have the glass out on one of my cars and can check it. It's a different model but the depth should be pretty much the same since it has the same design setup. The Charger probably is too but I've never had the trim off on one....

Measuring from the bottom of the gasket/window channel, the center of the screw holes is 1/4" and the ones nearest the corners are 1 5/8" from the corner. On this car, there's 8 clips across the top and 3 down the pillar. Will it vary? Good question lol. Need some clips?
