Ok while I am waiting for my car to sell I have taken on the refurbishment of the frount suspension. After replacing all the bushings I attempted to reinstall the lower control arms. They wont go on the pins al the way any tricks? Please let me know thanks:happy6:

what do you mean by pins? they wont slide into the K member?

Yes thats right I left the pins mounted to the k frame because when I disassembled the lower control arms slid right off due to being so worn out. And the new ones won't go on.

The pin needs to be removed from the k-member (undo nut and knock out) and the remaining inner metal part of the bush needs to be removed from the pin( I usually hacksaw or carefully grind in a spiral). Then the pin needs to be pressed into the new bush..

Ok thanks for the info I had already removed the rest of the old bushing. But had not removed pin yet from the k member.

Yep, make sure the old sleeve from the bushing is not still on the pin, it can be hard to tell sometimes.

Thanks all got er done. Ia m a dumbass sometimes. But once I read the advice it al made since. Been a long week
