I have come across 2 wheels and I am wondering what they are worth. Any idea???

The rim on the right appears to have a lug nut hole busted out? If that's the case....you could use it as a hose reel I guess.:edgy:

That there is what is left of an alder tree. The lug hole it grew through seems to be fine and uncracked..

Those are late-Sixties A-body,aren't they? If not, what then? Haven't seen anything like that in a while.

Duh,just figured out what they are. The word "recall" was the clue. Duh,again. Senior moment...

Well detmatt1 I'm not even sure how much they are worth. Any idea?????

You don't say what size they are, they need to be completely redone, and they're available as a reproduction (at least in a 5X4.5"). They would be worth a LOT if they were nice.

I'd say you would be exceedingly lucky to get $200 each.

They are 15x6. Well I've only had them a few days and I'm still researching them.

They cracked in the lug area, so Ma recalled them and replaced them with other wheels.

they were only avaliable on early early 69 models before they recalled them

great looking wheel

Aint it great, you found something that is so rare you can't figure out what they are worth cause nobody has them. If someone is restoring a car that came with those they would be very interested. Now, you need to find that guy. Good luck

those look like the aftermarket ones kelsey hayes produced for the general public , check the back of them for a Penta star ? aftermarkets ones are not worth that much . These look like they have been under water for 20 years too .

Would there even be a (Penta star) if Chrysler didn't make them and Kelsey Hayes did?

Those are great looking wheels and definately change the character of the cars. I've wanted a set since the 80's.

Wonder why Chrysler had an aversion to wide wheels?

7 inch is rare, and even 6.5 or 6 is not the norm. All that room in the 66-67 Charger, 67-69 barracuda, and any 68-74 B body, and they put on 14x 5.5 wheels.

Ford, on the other hand...7 or even 8 inch are common.

Where would the star be stamped on the wheel? Would it be near the date stamp or on the steel hoop? I'll have time to look later this weekend.

Because there was no real need for them in those days. Really wide tires were typically special order like L60s which were a REALLY big tire in those days and not often seen. Mopar engineers believed that 6" rims were large enough for H70s from the factory.
