Saw that car at the Sloan Auto Fair a couple of weeks ago;very nice piece. Someone will have fun with that.

AlK, I'm really interested in this car. Its located about 4 hours noth of me, so I'm trying to gather some info. Could you tell me more?

Mike;sorry I didn't take a long hard look at it. I walked past it a couple of times;really didn't dissect its details. Wish I could be of more help. The car was only there Saturday, and was the only Mopar that I DIDN'T get pics of(all together now:"You dumb-***!" I deserve it...). It had a crowd around it whenever I did get near it. Any other MI guys able to chime in on this car?

I'm thinking this is the car. What do you guys think the right price is?

Mike,

I have been watching your posts here and on other Mopar sites, some with polls asking what others would buy etc. Why do you care what others think or care about what color THEY like? You have to satisfy yourself not others. If you go to a new car dealership do you ask the salesman or the dealership staff what color they would buy or what is the most popular? If you did that back in the 60-70s you would be buying a green car that most don't want today and they are hard to sell but they were VERY popular back in the day.

It is one thing to find a particular car you are interested in and then ask specific questions about THAT car. As far as a WIW question it will get you a ballpark idea of what a particular model is worth in a given condition and then you have to figure it out from there. It MAY be worth MORE to you then someone else because it trips your trigger. Don't be afraid to pay more for something you like vs. paying less for something you are not satisfied with simply because you think it is a good deal.

Remember, the price is soon forgotten for something you like vs. always remember with someting you really are not satisfied with. How many times have you bought one model of something and later wished you would have paid the extra money for the next step up?

Not my car, know nothing about it. After looking at the pics and reading the description it is definately a restified car (restored/modified) car. If you are serious about it i would be asking for pre-rsto pictures of the body, floor pans, frame rails etc. as well as any reciepts for engine build etc. Probably top price for that car but on the other hand you likely could not build it from the ground up for the same money.

Very nice car ! And it has a Dana under it.
What do you plan to use the car for ? Just street or will it see the dragstrip ? You gotta do what your gut feeling tells you as your opinion is the only one that matters if you are buying it. Good luck , Ron

I plan on using it on the street mainly, but I wouldn't mind taking it out to the strip one or two times a year. Any specific reason you ask Ron?

I made an offer yesterday of $24.5K. Owner said he'd take $27K. I'm not ready to jump on it for that price. Not in todays market. He could hold onto it and see how he feels 2 months from now.

I was just curious if you planned to use slicks or drag radials with the 4-speed. The stick cars are harder on parts but it does have the Dana under it. Ron

I plan on using a drag radial set-up similar to this.

Taking a road trip to see this car tomorrow (4 hrs each way). Owner is now at $25k. From the pictures is anything galring that a first time mopar owner should take extra time checking out?

Personally, I think it's a good buy at $25k - this is assuming close up inspection shows a straight body, clean paint job and no mechanical issues of course. You can bet the seller has far more than that into it if he built it.

You got a deal at $23k I think! Good buy.
