I am in the process of moving some gauges around. I had the triple set of aftermarket gauges on the bottom of the dash like most people. The car really isn't a street/show car anymore so I am moving them so I can see them while racing.

I am putting a 2 5/8 Fuel and Oil pressure gauge on the cowl. In the clock hole I am thinking about putting my 2 1/16 trans temp guage. Fits perfectly.

Now here is where I am having a little issue. I have my stock 65 Coronet dash out. I am trying to put some 2" Sunpro gauges in the stock location but the holes are square and the gauges are round. I want the gauges to appear stock at first glance. I am putting in a H2O temp and volt gauge. I did some trading with BlueFury to get another instrument panel so I will still have a stock one to put back in just incase in 20 years I want to make it stock again.

I also was messing around with the Odometer and came up with this. The speedo isn't hooked up anymore. Nothing big. No one will ever notice but it only takes one to make it worth the trouble.

Well since I ordered the wrong gauge cups I haven't had a chance to figure that out yet. I am thinking about putting a strap inside the cowl; drill holes in the strap and welding some nuts on the bottom so I can bolt the gauge cups to it. The cups and strap will pinch together to hold them in place.

When I get all the parts together I will post some pics of how I did it. Hopefully it turns out the way I have it in my head.

similar to what i did, except i didnt weld the nuts on the the strap. i think its a clean look. i will soon be drilling holes on the top of the cowl( under the hood ) and down the firewall to route the braided hose....

I was thinking about running the braided line and copper oil line through the oval hole in the firewall. I have a plug there so I will have to put holes into it to run the lines. I now need to figure out how to get the -04 braided line in between the cowl grate bars.

Thats where i will be running mine, through the oval towards the top of firewall. right before the firewall meets the grates, the area that is covered by the hood, i will drill another oval for them to come out. Dont think it is possible to have them come out of the grate, the guages w/ the pods are almost as long as the grates are deep ! ..
