reintalling steering shaft on a 67 318 coronet w/power steering

When one is putting the steering shaft back in the car, do you put the coupler on the shaft first or on the steering chuck first. Been trying all afternoon and cant come up with the combination.

What are you calling the chuck?

We did mine at the coupler, and rebuilt it at the same time.

Who desinged that stinking seal, anyway?

Yup, other than that site using a truck, most of it applies to cars too.

That's a great tip- using the furniture clamps.

That looks like the kit I used...but one of the parts didn't fit right, and I had to reuse an old part.
Wish I could remember which one.

...and the solid blocks look like they fit either way, but they dont. Be careful with that.
