Great video. Brings back my childhood days. Here's a few of my memories:
Remembering when my Dad got back from his second tour in Vietnam,
Watching the moon landing in school,
Seeing the war protestors in D.C. *my dad was stationed at Walter Reed
Seeing Dodge Daytonna and Super Birds driven on the street as everyday drivers
Getting our first 13" Color TV
Begging my little sister to watch Batman and Robin, (orginal with Adam West and
Bart ward) or Speed Racer, instead of new that new show Sesame Street.
Being on the tarmac to greet the released POW's from Vietnam
Being scared that our President (Richard Nixon) was being impreached
Remember watching "Laugh-in" and hearing Sammy Davis say, "Here comes the Judge"
You addressed your neighbors as Sir, or Mr/Mrs (last name)
Teaching was an honorable profession, and parents took responsiblity of actions of their children while at school, was your homework was reviewed by them.
Saying the Pledge of Alligance the everyday at the begining of school day.
Sang Christmas songs at school, and you could say "Baby Jesus", instead of the new PC of "Little Baby", or calling it Holiday songs.
Being able to Smoke on planes, and getting to choose a magnezine from the Stewardess, (not Flight Attendance)
Makes me wonder if in the last 40 years, if we have progressed as a society.
