what is the best tool to use for removing this stuff? thanks

Wire wheel I say no-go. I do this all the time on car body's I get in, I just scrape it off, most of it is all loose anyways from 40 yrs of existence. More stubborn stuff; propane torch and scraping knife.

:banana on ebay:.......and then after you scrape it.....clean it again with something like a wire wheel because there is no way you got it all off with a puddy knife, especially in all the crevices, corners, laps and uneven areas. Hmmmmm. And wear a full mask respirator with the correct cartridges because when you light it up in flames the ignited fumes/smoke from the catalysts in the sealer are not only nauseous, an irritant, but very toxic as well. Good luck :icon_thumright:.......
