I am trying to take the yoke off the hogs head - one on car, the other on the floor - will be selling the 4.11 8 3/4 489 posi 3 member - both won't budge, any idea or tricks, its not a reverse thread is it?

With the car up as high as you can get it, a partner is great by the way, baby sledge hammer on each side to pound it foward to get it off. IIRC, not a reverse thread, just a tuffy to get.

I would have done a little "horse trading" for the answer, Rumble :)

Let us know how much, Trip !!!

IF you have access to an impact, that's the easy way then the yoke will usually tap off with a hammer but it if doesn't move easily, use a puller. When you go back on....be careful not to compress the crush sleeve in the 89 unit as it was lock the bearings.

What they said, an impact to remove the nut, and a puller to remove the yoke.

it helps to put some WD-40 and let it soak in a bit also.
