Replacing deck lid sliders '66 Satellite

Is there a trick to getting leverage to getting the deck lid sliders off? Its easy on other models but the '66 deck lid hinges have me baffled.

Yeah I'm looking at this again and I think you're right, it's dirty up there and no sliders just metal.
