How easy is it to remove the heater box in a 70 RR once the car is completly put back together. don't want to replace the heat core now but definitely at a later date.

nz, i am replacing mine while it is out and easy to get to.you have four bolts from inside eng bay to remove and i would think your motor would make it a lot more difficult to reach those bolts.

no a/c? its not bad. drain the anti freeze. i always use a radiator pressure type pump to blow out the heater core so the anti freeze dosent get all over the carpet. i have removed the glove box liner to give enough room for the box to tilt back. remove the heater hoses and the fastening nuts in the engine area and it (the heater box) will almost fall out. theres a support bar under the dash that will need to be taken off, and unhook the wires.

Good advice moparjohnny, might order one from Summit, takes about 3 weeks to arrive.

Thanks jburt. Was thinking of getting car up and running for 2nd half of summer and then replacing heater core before winter returns. Great to know it is possible.

I pulled mine while the dash was still in, no motor though and it was an ad unit. Wasn't easy but doable.
