Being the owner of a 78 and 79 Magnum (as well as a number of other MoPars :) ) I have noticed for a number years the 75 - 79 B Bodies have been largely ignored by the aftermarket and reproduction companies....well I am here to help change that, as we are one of the original Chrysler Licensed reproduction companies, Dale's Cuda Shop, and I am interested in seeing what parts may be viable to reproduce, and what you guys would like to see produced? I would like to start with rubber pieces that nearly everyone would need or use across the board. On the more difficult pieces this would require a certain number of committed buyers to do it in the interests of keep costs reasonable. So throw out some ideas and I will see what we can do?

Good to see you here....This thread doesn't relate to me but I have bought many parts from you.

Thanks for the high quality parts and great customer service!

Justin

Well, I will say one of the biggest things is T-Top Seals is where I would start. Another area would be the sending units just to get you started with a couple of ideas.

One of the problems out west with this era of cars is they have to pass an emissions test starting with 1975 on. That makes them tough to do a resto mod on and big engine hop up stuff. If your area does not test that still limits buyers when you do sell.

When I had mine the biggest problem was finding body panels. Had there been body panels available to replace, I am sure new body plugs would have been nice to have. Theses cars As far as rubber goes I'm sure tail-light seals, trunk seals, header panel gasket hood mounted turn signal gasket. would be nice.

Thanks for joining FBBO, been meaning to stop by for an upclose visit. Have a set of tail panel striping for a '68 Bee that I got off a member when he changed colors. Excellent quality. We could maybe talk 'war stories'; I always post up the advantages of being close to 'Summit Racing' to get the envy going.

Just speaking off the top of my head because I don't own one yet, would the headlight doors for the Magnums. Seems like they are either missing, or clouded up pretty badly on every Magnum that I look at.

My 78 is an XE with T Tops and my Mother had bought it new, and if memory serves me correct I originally bought some T Top weatherstrips new when I was running Frederick Dodge's Parts Dept. So I will have to dig around and see where they are as well as the ones on the 78 and what it will take to reproduce them.

1975-79 Cordoba,Charger,Magnum all use the following Mopar part #s

T-top weatherstrips:

4106462-3 R/L door side
4106458 roof
4106480-1 R/L pillar hinge
4106482-3 R/L pillar lock

so you have 5 years of interchangeability on these items

ALSO the sunroof weatherstrip would be another part that is needed

ANY Mopar product including F Bodies, etc. that had factory T-tops or sunroofs need those weatherstrips reproduced as there are none out there

Bumper fillers too

Ok so far so good, we already have some small rubber and plastic bumpers and plugs pieces done with more to follow. I think the T Top seals will be at the top of the list and what quantities it will take to get them done reasonably. Let me know what you think?

The GT wheel lip moldings would be great for reproduction.

I again with reproducing the magnum gt wheel flares would be cool.

Thanks for thinking about us late B-body guys. Anything reproduced is more than we have now. I would like to see the interior light covers made, as the centers are broken out on all of mine.

Although I do not need them at this point in time, I would certainly purchase a set of T-top seals if reproduced.

Lamps/Lenses. Parking, corner, marker, tail, backup.
