Rerouting trans cooler lines?

In the process of installing headers, the flex trans cooler lines are right up against the headers, obviously I will need to re route and lengthen them, maybe run them along the frame rail, or should I just replace them with steel lines all the way?

I like steel lines....but that's just my opinion.

Stainless hard-lines, with braided line stubs, where/when needed to attach.
