Can anyone recommend any good restoration books, mainly for a 67 GTX?
I am looking for a book that has all the paint colors and codes for all the parts, engine specs, etc........

Basically a book that has everything.
Does anyone have one or know of a good one that they can recommend?

Yep all the way in the back of the factory service manual it list interior and exterior colors. If you are looking for colors to each and every piece then the evidence is right in front of you. If it's rusted like crazy that more than likely means it was never painted from the factory. There are a few websites that I use besides this one for information and reference... www.70roadrunner.com, www.sandysgarage.com. One book besides the FSM that I thought was a good read is Project Charger.

I am assuming that the paint codes in the service manual are circa 60's. How do I cross reference them if the paint numbers have been changed at all?

I had my car painted factory medium metallic blue and was able to have it cross referenced with PPG base coat/clearcoat. parked next to an original car w/ same color and match was very good.

Have you had any trouble cross referencing things like bracket colors for example?
Does the service manual also tell you whether or not certain things were painted?
