Hello - I'm going to start doing some work on my all-original 67 R/T, and am wondering if there are any books out there detailing correct finishes/fasteners for chassis, suspension, etc. My car is a survivor, and has never been apart, but am getting ready to pull the brakes for restoration. Would the books out there for 68-up cars be sufficient?
I'll do my forensic analysis as I pull it apart, but would like some info on what finishes to use to replicate the original apperance. Also, whether certain parts were sprayed, dipped, etc. My R/T is an undercoat car, so some of the finishes are covered up.
I just want to make sure that as I go through systems on the car, I'm putting them back just as they were originally. I hesitate to even take it apart, but she needs some brake and steering component attention. Any info will be appreciated.
Cheers!
