Hello. Your in N.Y and Texas is the closest place to get the car restored.

There's a MOPAR guy in Cuero, used to be in Austin as Sam's, didn't know they were restoring cars, I know they sell cars there in Cuero. There's Paintshop101.com in San Antonio, is that the shop you're referring to?

no im refering to lucas mopars

I'm 60 miles away or so, but, just what would a person watch out for, and, if something was amiss, what could that person do -- given they (me) has NO legal or binding or even personal obligation to do anything to stop/prevent something from going wrong. What I would suggest is have this 'shop' provide you with a binder validating they have business insurance, etc., to protect you and your stuff.

An unbiased opinion on the car and the quality of the work communicated to the owner would be a good piece of mind for him.

Hey SPIROS. Do your homework and check up on the shop doing the work. You would want to be around ( OR GET GOOD PICS OF THE CAR ) when they get done with the sheet metal work. Places cover up a lot of things before you show up. Don't want you to get burned. My first guy I had did this but luckily the next guy cut off the whole quarters and showed me the crap work the first guy did. Cost me some $$$ but at least it is done right now. Good luck.

I found a body guy that takes great pride in his work. You give him empty memory cards for his camera, and he takes pics every stage of work. He's not far from me so I can stop in often, but he still takes a bunch of pics for your restoration documents. Maybe your guy will do the same Spiros?
